1. Start the game 'Merge Defense' on your device.
2. You will be presented with a grid-based gameplay area where you can place defensive towers.
3. Enemies will start approaching from one side of the grid towards your base.
4. To defend your base, drag and drop towers onto the grid to attack the incoming enemies.
5. Towers can be merged together by placing two identical towers next to each other.
6. Merging towers creates a more powerful tower with increased attack capabilities.
On a phone, use the game’s on-screen controls if they appear. Landscape orientation gives the player more room.
